FIRST ASEAN VIRTUAL FURNITURE EXPO VX ATTRACTS 4,970 TRADE BUYERS FROM 44 COUNTRIES

A total of 69 companies and 4,970 trade buyers participated at the first-ever ASEAN International Furniture and Furnishings Show VX (AIFFS VX) which was held virtually on March 9 to 18, 2021. Organized by the ASEAN Furniture Industries Council (AFIC), the virtual expo has provided an opportunity for industry players, suppliers, buyers, and companies to meet and network with top-level professionals and stakeholders from the industry wherever they may be.

Booths were complemented by virtual showrooms which gave visitors a convenient way of viewing the latest collections from the comforts of their homes or offices. “Given the current conditions, having a digital/online presence is not only beneficial for every business, it is a necessary tool for business to continue to flourish despite our limitations. And this was made possible when we launched AIFFS VX! This show has been the instrument of every business to step further during this challenging time,” shared Nicolaas De Lange, Secretary General & Committee Chairman, ASEAN Furniture Industries Council.

The discussions were about the Future of the (ASEAN) Furniture Industry, Sustainable Forest Management Practices, F&B Outlook in the New Lifestyle, ASEAN Tourism Industry Update, Hotel Interior & Design in the New Normal and Re-creating a Sustainable Demand for the Real Estate & Property Market Today. Presentations were also done by some of the show’s official exhibitors. This include: Digital
Manufacturing through PYTHA, Cebu: Southeast Asia’s Best Kept Secret, CFIF: One Stop Shop, Convergence and Divergence: Redesign the Future and How Glass is Transforming the Design Industry.
