Diving into Sustainability at AYFE 2024!

Our second activity brought thought-provoking insights and inspiration through an engaging seminar by PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) and an expert panel discussion.

Shawn Goh (Value Chain Manager, PEFC APAC) kicked off the session by sharing about PEFC, SDGs, ESG practices, and the importance of sustainable materials in the furniture industry.

Sasimar (Nikki) Srisakulwan (Project Developer, Frasers Property Thailand) gave us an inside look at One Bangkok, the city’s newest destination mall, and how she integrated sustainable materials into its design.

The session ended with an insightful panel discussion featuring Shawn Goh, Nikki, and Alex Yang (Founder, Quirky Haus & Co-Founder, Design Bureau Singapore), exchanging ideas on how sustainability can be implemented in design and manufacturing across ASEAN.

Apart from our AFIC members, we were delighted to welcome professors and 40 students from Bangkok University’s Interior Design Department, who joined us for this enriching session. Thank you for bringing your curiosity and energy—it was great to have you with us!
